Every Fabric House print starts on one of our base cloths. Here's how they differ, so you can pick the right one for your project.
Poly-Cotton
A blend of cotton and polyester that gives you the soft, breathable feel of cotton with the easy care of polyester. It resists wrinkles, holds its colour wash after wash, and keeps its shape. A reliable choice for bedding, home textiles and everyday sewing.
Cotton
A natural fibre with a crisp hand-feel. Cotton breathes well in warm weather, is comfortable against the skin, and is easy to cut and sew, which makes it a favourite for shirts, dresses and home décor.
Crepe
Crepe has a subtle, grainy texture and a fluid drape that moves with the body. It's ideal for flowing dresses, abayas, scarves and any design where movement matters.
How we sell
Order any fabric by the metre in 1 m, 2 m or 5 m cuts, or take a full roll for larger projects and boutique orders. Cut lengths come from a single continuous piece wherever possible.
Colours can vary slightly between dye lots, so for a large project we recommend ordering all the fabric you need at once.
